Add a location page to your existing site, create a Google Business Profile only once the office is staffed, use a local phone number that someone answers around the clock, update your listings, and publish county specific pages before the office opens.
A new criminal defense office lives or dies on whether people can find it at the moment of an arrest, which is often at night or on a weekend. Keep the new office on your main website so it inherits your existing authority. Build a location page with the address, hours, a local phone number, attorneys who will handle cases there, offenses you take, and the local jail and courthouses you cover. Make the phone number tappable and visible at the top of the page.
Set up the Google Business Profile once the office is real and staffed during posted hours. Google may require video verification, and competitors watch for mailbox and virtual offices. Pick categories that match what the office actually does, add real photos, and make sure your name, address and phone match across your site, state bar profile, Avvo, Justia and local directories. If you take calls after hours, make sure the number on the profile actually reaches someone. An unanswered after hours call is a lost client.
Before opening, publish a few pages specific to that county: how to find out if someone is in that jail, how bond generally works there, and your offense pages tailored to that area. Plan to ask clients from the new office for reviews when their cases end, keeping in mind that many will prefer privacy. If you want help sequencing the rollout, our team can plan it with you at (210) 729-4008. A little groundwork before opening means the office starts getting calls much sooner after the doors open.
