Fix the sources first, then report the error. Correct your website, Google Business Profile and any directories carrying the bad fact, and use the tool's own feedback option. There is no edit button for an AI answer.
AI tools repeat what they read. Wrong hours, an old phone number, a service you dropped, or a location you left almost always traces back to a page that still says it. So search the bad fact and find who is publishing it. Usually it is an unclaimed directory listing, an old landing page you forgot to delete, a franchise page from a prior affiliation, or a scraped aggregator that copied your details years ago.
Work through them in order of visibility. Update your own site, including the old pages nobody links to anymore, and set redirects where pages are gone. Correct your Google Business Profile and Apple Business Connect. Claim and fix the directories that rank when you search your business name. For the scrapers you cannot reach, the goal is to outnumber and outrank them with current information rather than chase every last one.
Then use the feedback tools. Most assistants have a thumbs down or report option, and some let you leave a note explaining the correction. Do not expect a same day fix or any confirmation that a human looked at it. For serious cases, such as a competitor's complaints or a lawsuit being attributed to you, document everything with dated screenshots in case you need to escalate through legal or support channels.
Send the site over. We will tell you what is broken, what you could rank for, and whether AI search knows you exist. No charge and no pitch deck.
