What Happens on a Content Shoot Day? (And How to Get a Month of Content in 3 Hours)
Owners are often surprised how little disruption a content shoot causes and how much comes out of it. Here's exactly what a Heights Digital shoot day looks like, so you know what to expect.
Before the shoot
We build a shot list from your content plan: the services to feature, the questions to answer, the team members who'll be on camera, the customer (if any) we're filming, and the spaces we need. You approve it. We schedule around your busiest hours so we're capturing real activity without getting in the way.
What we bring
4K cinema cameras, gimbals, lighting, wireless mics, a drone (where useful), and phones for native vertical capture. Two setups running at once means we get polished and authentic footage from the same moment.
The first hour: the work
We follow the work. Techs on a job, providers with a patient, the crew on site, the kitchen in service. B-roll, process, before/afters, satisfying details. This footage becomes the backbone of a month of Reels and the visual library for your website and ads.
The second hour: people
Short interview-style pieces with you and your team. We ask questions; you answer like you're talking to a customer. Fifteen to forty-five second answers, several takes, zero pressure. Camera-shy? We build around whoever is comfortable.
The third hour: customers and details
If a customer agreed to a testimonial, we film it now — two minutes, a few prompts, done. Then photos: team, space, products, vehicles, exterior signage.
After the shoot
Our editors cut 12–30+ short-form videos with hooks and captions, sized for each platform, plus photo posts, carousels and stories. Writers add captions and calls to action. You approve the calendar from your phone. We post daily and reply to comments. Next month, we do it again.
What you actually have to do
Show up, work normally, answer a few questions, and approve a calendar. That's it. See video & photo production or social media management.
