A fair monthly package should include new or improved practice area content every month, Google Business Profile management, technical upkeep, review support, AI search work, and a plain report tied to calls and consults. If you cannot see what was done each month, the price is not fair at any level.
Pricing in legal marketing varies a lot, and the number alone tells you little. What matters is what you get for it. At minimum, a monthly plan should produce new or meaningfully improved content each month, written for your practice areas and reviewed by you. It should keep your Google Business Profile active with posts, photos and accurate details. It should fix technical problems as they appear, support your review requests, and structure your pages so ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews can quote them.
It should also come with a report you can read in two minutes: calls, form fills, map views and which pages brought in consult requests. Watch for packages where most of the fee goes to account management, or where you are told the work is proprietary and cannot be shown. You should own the site, the content and the profile no matter what. Long contracts and large setup fees are a sign the agency needs to lock you in rather than earn the next month.
For transparency, here is how we price it. Heights Digital charges $750 to build the site and $399 a month for unlimited updates, monthly content, SEO, GEO and AEO work, and Business Profile management, month to month. That fits most solo and small firms in one or two practice areas. Firms in very competitive metros, with multiple offices, or that need Google Ads, video or social usually need a bigger program, and ours start at $1,750 a month, quoted for the specific firm.
