Should my law firm have Spanish language pages on its website?

If your firm can actually serve clients in Spanish, yes. Spanish speaking clients search in Spanish, and well written Spanish practice area pages often face far less competition than the English versions. Only publish them if someone on your team can handle the call and the consult in Spanish.

The longer answer

In many markets, including much of Texas, a large share of potential clients prefer to search, call and talk about a legal problem in Spanish. When they search abogado de accidentes or abogado de divorcio, the results are often thinner than the English equivalents, with fewer firms putting in real effort. A firm with properly written Spanish pages can show up in searches its competitors are not even trying for. AI tools also answer in the language they are asked, so Spanish content gives them something to cite.

Do it properly or not at all. Machine translating your whole site produces awkward, sometimes wrong legal wording that native speakers spot immediately, and it can create the same compliance problems as any inaccurate advertising. Write Spanish pages for your main practice areas, your contact page and a short about page, reviewed by a fluent speaker on your team. Use proper language tags so Google knows which version to show, and put a clear Hablamos espanol note near your phone number.

The most important part is what happens after the click. If a Spanish speaking caller reaches a receptionist who cannot help, the page did its job and the firm lost the client anyway. Make sure intake, forms, text replies and consults can happen in Spanish, and mention it on your Business Profile. Our team builds bilingual pages for firms that can back them up, and we will tell you plainly if your intake is not ready yet. Getting that part right first protects both the client and your reputation.
