A plastic surgery practice can attract patients from other cities through strong procedure pages, honest pages for regions it truly serves, virtual consultation options, and travel patient information. The map pack stays near your real office, but surgery patients search wider and organic and AI results can reach them.
Plastic surgery patients are some of the most willing to travel. Someone researching a mommy makeover, rhinoplasty or a breast revision may compare surgeons across a whole state, and some will fly in. Google's map pack will mostly show practices near the searcher, but the organic results, RealSelf style research and AI answers from ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews are where those wider searches get decided. Those rely on how clearly your site explains your procedures, your surgeon's training and focus, and what the process looks like for someone coming from farther away.
Skip the thin city pages with only the town name swapped. A travel or regional patient page that works covers virtual consultations, how pre op visits are handled, how long out of town patients should plan to stay before and after surgery, nearby lodging, aftercare and follow up options, and what happens if a concern comes up after they go home. Never list a satellite address on Google unless the surgeon actually sees patients there on a regular staffed schedule. A fake location puts your profile at risk of suspension.
If your surgeon does consult regularly at a second office, that is a different story. That location can have its own verified profile and page with the real schedule. Either way, reviews from out of town patients help when they mention where they traveled from, and procedure pages should link to the travel page so it is part of the decision path. At Heights Digital we build these pages with real detail and careful compliance language. If you want us to look at how your practice shows up outside your home market, call or text (210) 729-4008.
