10 Signs Your Website Is Quietly Losing You Customers
Most websites don't fail loudly. They fail quietly, one visitor at a time, while the owner assumes "the website's fine." Here are ten signs yours is costing you business — check your own site on your phone as you read.
1. It takes more than three seconds to load
Half of mobile visitors leave. Oversized images, bloated themes and cheap hosting are the usual culprits.
2. You have to pinch and zoom on a phone
If it's not designed mobile-first, most of your visitors are fighting it.
3. There's no click-to-call at the top
On mobile, the phone number should be a tappable button visible immediately. Same for text and directions.
4. The contact form goes nowhere
Test it. Form submissions landing in a dead inbox or spam folder is one of the most common leaks we find.
5. The information is outdated
Old hours, old prices, staff who left, a 2019 copyright. It signals an inactive business.
6. The photos are stock
Visitors can tell, and it reads as hiding something. Real photos of your team and work convert.
7. Every service is on one page
One page per service is how you rank for each service. A single "Services" paragraph ranks for nothing.
8. No reviews on the site
Reviews are the top conversion factor. Pull them in from Google and display them.
9. Google Search Console is full of errors
Pages not indexed, 404s, mobile issues — problems you'll never see unless someone checks.
10. It hasn't changed in a year
No new content, no updates. Google notices, and so do customers.
The fix
A modern rebuild solves all ten at once, and a monthly plan keeps them solved. Ours is $750 to build and $399/month for everything after. See website redesign.
