One of the most important parts of planning a wedding is the venue. It requires a lot of brainstorming because honestly, you cannot plan a wedding without knowing where the venue is.
Probably, one of the bride’s pre-planning dilemmas especially if the venue and date that she is eyeing to have her dream wedding is – ugh – unavailable.
How to choose that perfect wedding venue?
1) Guestlist – know how many guests you are planning to invite to your wedding since not all places can only accommodate a certain number of guests. Check the venue’s minimum and maximum guest count.
2) Talk to a wedding planner – if you are busy or just don’t know where to start planning, it’s better to hire a professional to help you out with your wedding planning.
3) Choose your wedding date. – Make tentative dates and call around first to see which dates are available and choose the one that is perfect for you.
4) Pick the venue – yes, the most important part of a wedding. The venue is where you envision that magical moment to happen and it plays a big role in defining the setting, the atmosphere, and the mood for your wedding.
5) Pick your theme– choosing between the barn, rustic, mountain, garden or beach wedding is a pain., I know. But don’t forget about the colors that will complement the theme. It can add drama to the look.
6) Catering – always ask for recommendations from those who have tried the service of a caterer. Ask for some taste test so you will know which one to pick.
7) Photographer / Videographer – you don’t want to mess up your memories by hiring a mediocre or a newbie photographer. I’m not saying newbies are not good but do your research. If a newbie photographer can give a good portfolio and it’s within your budget, then go for it. However, if you want to have those memories beautiful and lasting, then hire a professional photographer and videographer.
